Coming to a dugout near you! Forget the Fightin' Phils...they've got nothing on the Bashing Brewers! But instead of bashing the baseball, the Brewers are bashing each other!
During today's game, there was a scuffle between Prince Fielder and Manny Parra. Speculation is that Parra was walking back into the clubhouse after giving up 6 runs, and prince was pissed that he wasn't going to stick around and watch the game.
This marks the second season in a row that the Brew Crew has started to fade in late July/early August and fighting in the dugout during games. Ned Yost? Yeah, he doesn't sound concerned...
"If you want to know what happened or what transpired -- blow-by-blow or what words were said -- I'm sorry, you're not going to know," Yost said, his voice rising. "It's private. It's between us, and it's not a big deal. And it's not the first time it ever happened, and it won't be the last."
The bad news? Terrible storms in Chicago are probably going to cancel the Cubs game with the Boys in Blue on the wrong end of a 2-0 score. But at least they won't lose any ground in the standings.
I'm just pissed that Manny Parra was the pitcher that Prince decided to shove. Now Prince against Sabathia? THAT would have been a fight worth watching. Artist's rendition below.
