A couple weeks ago, Brant Brown wrote a special article for Mark DeRosa, sharing his own experience with tachycardia. Well now I have a chance to share something with a Chicago Cub as well.A few days ago it was reported that Felix Pie had a twisted testicle, also known as a testicular torsion. I could feel his pain as I too have suffered this ailment. When I was in 5th grade I suffered a twisted testicle and had to have surgery to correct it. It hurt like a son of a bitch and I lost about a month of my summer because of it. I did get a bunch of baseball cards though, so that wasn't bad.
Anyway, as funny as the situation sounds, I can empathize with Felix. It feels like someone is grabbing one of your nuts and constantly tugging hard on it. I wish him the best of luck and a speedy recovery.
I should mention I also have Type 1 diabetes, so when I found out Sam Fuld was a Type 1 diabetic as well I became a big fan of his and began rooting for him to win the starting CF spot. But now Felix's twisted nut has earned him some newfound respect from me, and may have evened the score a bit.
