It's official, Kosuke Fukudome will be wearing Cubby blue for the next 4 years to the tune of $50 million. This is the guy Peter Gammons described as "a cross between Ichiro and a young healthy Mark Kotsay." Ok, I have to admit I don't really know what that means but our lineup is going to look an awful lot better with his left-handed bat in it next year. Chances are he'll probably bat between Ramirez and probably Thunder Matt or DeRosa. One GM said he should hit about .300 with 15-20 hrs and nab 30 steals. Plus he's supposed to be a great outfielder. Having Soriano's cannon in left with his in right is going to make Wrigley field seem like my backyard. We'd better take advantage of it now since after his contract he immediately becomes an unrestricted free agent. Finally, what's the over/under on times Santo says the word Fuck accidently while introducing this guy? Could we possibly be in store for the greatest season of Cubs baseball on WGN radio ever? Will the cough button make it through April?
