Seriously though, I don't post this to gloat. I'd rather be staring blindly at the TV now. I pledged to do my part for these games to fulfil my role as Rogue Dodgers Correspondent, and I've done so.
My only real comment on the game is how awesome Charlie Steiner's call on the Loney home run was. He said, "James Loney has tied the game with one prodigious wallop!" Prodigious wallop will now make it into my daily vocabulary. Thank you Charlie.
I leave The Gist now, probably a little worse than I found it, but so be it. Perhaps next season I will ride again, or maybe in the playoffs in the unlikely event of a Cubs/Dodgers matchup. I think we've all seen enough Randy Newman pictures for awhile anyway.
