I had to blow the dust off my tools in the trophy shop it had been so long. Thunder Matt did his best to spark a late-game rally last night, crushing a monster solo home run off of Dave Borkowski in the 7th inning. Unfortunately the remainder of the Cubs offense either forgot how to hit or apparently had holes in their bats as they whiffed several times.
Nonetheless, Murton shined last night, if only for a brief moment, and added Mr. Borkowski's name to the list of immortals in the Thunder Matt Trophy Room.
